Ahrens Business Philosophy
The business of fitting hearing aids is one that is not without competition, especially in a densely populated area such as northern New Jersey. All business’ have competition to a certain extent however we believe a business which thrives by providing a highly specialized service (not just a commoditized product) falls into a different realm. Successfully combining professional ability, honesty, candor, ability to listen and understand your customers, and empathy – is not something done equally well among all working people.
This is in fact why some business’ providing professional services do a better job than others. When It comes to fitting hearing aids, which is a process whose
success relies heavily on the abilities of the professional doing the actual adjustments, the right combination of skills will bring the best possible results with hearing aids – there is no shortcut around that.
Because the outcomes we provide rely so heavily on our professional ability, among other things, our business philosophy is this:
We do not, can not, and will not compromise on anything that may interfere with providing the best possible outcome for our customers. Since 1968 we have strived to provide the best possible service and our reputation is as such. There are plenty of choices – different professionals, hearing aids to be purchased online, at big box stores, etc… but we have made a choice to do business in a way which enables us to provide the best possible outcomes.
We will be fair in our dealings with every person and give everyone we come in contact with the same advice and direction as we would give a good friend or family member (most of them at least). The idea of using high pressure sales tactics or attempting to influence a decision which isn’t in the customer’s best interest makes us cringe. In our eyes, doing business in this way is the only way.
Our hope is through communicating our philosophies that we will make the decision to see us an easy one.
